We pass dozens to hundreds of facades every day. Even though we constantly pass all these houses, we rarely have any idea who is behind these facades and what goes on there every day and evening. The approach of the series ‘la maison d’en face’ is to portray the mystery that surrounds the facades of these homes, especially after the sun sets. Viewing the voyeuristic images is one of the aspects which creates a feeling of tension for the viewer who also ends up in the voyeuristic role.
